Six Things Wisdom Brings
Six Things the Wisdom of God Brings into Your Life - from Proverbs 8:
Good Judgment
Verse 12 - “I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment,” The Wisdom of God gives you insight when making decisions. This verse says that the Wisdom of God lives together with good judgment. When someone lives with someone else, they are always together - at the end of the day, you can’t separate them. Good judgment means well thought-out, and not impulsive. It allows you to make the best decision according to God’s Word instead of relying on your own opinion!
Knowledge and Spiritual Discernment
Verse 12 - “…I know where to discover knowledge and spiritual discernment.” As a Child of God, let alone a Minister of the Gospel, you MUST be a spiritual person. Having access to the Wisdom of God gives us further access to be able to discern the spirit behind a certain thing. In order to be an effective minister, you must be able to see things spiritually. You cannot pray for someone to be delivered from something when you have no idea what kind of spirit you’re dealing with. It’s one thing to have a knowledge of something, but you must also be able to discern it in the spiritual realm - the natural mind can only see so far! “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV
Common Sense and Success
Verse 14 - “Common sense and success belong to me.,” Every plan God has for your life is a plan for you to be successful. Everything with God produces success. The Bible says that God only has good plans for you - plans for you to prosper! We must put into action the Wisdom that God gave us in order to see the fruit of success in our lives. Believe it or not, common sense is actually something you should thank God for! Common sense is actually not common in the world today. People in this generation are completely lost and have no direction or sense of their lives. They are waiting for YOU to give them what you have on the inside of you!
Insight and Strength
Verse 14 - “…Insight and strength are mine.” Along with the joy of the Lord, Wisdom is also a source of strength. This verse says that insight and strength BELONG to wisdom. That means when you receive the Wisdom of God, you also receive strength! In order to fulfill everything that God has called us to do, we cannot do it in our own strength. We need to tap into the strength that comes from the Lord - the strength that comes from the Wisdom of God! Verse 23 says, “I [Wisdom] was inaugurated and ordained from everlasting, from the beginning, before ever the earth existed.” The chapter goes on to show that this Wisdom was with God, as he created the heavens, the earth, and us! This is not something to take lightly. You have access to the SAME wisdom God used to create the earth!
Authority
Verse 15 - “Because of me, kings reign, and rulers make just decrees.” This verse says that by the Wisdom of God, kings reign and make orders. If worldly leaders are confident in the authority have, how much more confident should men and women of God be? The Gospel must be presented in AUTHORITY and POWER. Real power comes when you tap into the wisdom of God. It’s not just a cutesy thing!
Wealth and Honor
Verse 18 - “I have riches and honor, as well as enduring wealth and justice.” The Amplified Classic says, “Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God).” Let me repeat that… “Uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God.” The Wisdom of God brings uprightness in EVERY area. This means that no area of your life should be lacking or stagnant. Whether it’s your finances, your spiritual life, your work life, your school life, your marriage, or your friendships. EVERY area of your life will be upright, and in right standing with God, in Jesus’ Name. Hallelujah!
